Am Anfang war eine Geschichte. Strange Stars wurden von Anastassia  Biederstaedt (AnasthaZia) und Christian Biederstaedt 2010 gegründet. Auf der Bühne erzählen Strange Stars die Geschichte um den Zauberlehrling Miss Ana Stassia, welche von AnasthaZia gespielt wird, und dem Klangalchemisten Maestro BD, welchen Christian Biederstaedt spielt. Musikalisch sind Strange Stars schwer zu beschreiben. ‘Postmodern’ und experimentell sind sie auf jeden Fall, denn Musik als solche steht im Mittelpunkt ihrer Geschichte.
      Musik wird als die Alchemie der Klänge definiert. Verschiedene Genres und Klangfarben werden verschiedenen Elementen der Musik zugeordnet.  Die Hörer*innen erwarten symphonische Klänge, Rap und Operngesang, Metal, Techno und Blues, Synthies und Handgemachtes, Melodie und Rhythmus. Diese Vielfalt an Genres kommt vor allem durch die musikalische Offenheit, welche die Macher von Strange Stars verbindet.

In the beginning, there was a story. Strange Stars were founded in 2010 by Anastassia Biederstaedt (AnasthaZia) and Christian Biederstaedt. On stage, Strange Stars tell the story of a alchemist’s apprentice  Miss Ana Stassia, played by AnasthaZia, and the sound alchemist Maestro BD, played by Christian Biederstaedt. As far as the question of genre is concerned, Strange Stars are hard to classify. They are definitely 'postmodern' and experimental, for music takes center stage for its own sake.
Music is defined as the 'alchemy of sounds.' Diverse genres and acoustic colors are assigned to diverse musical elements. Symphonic sounds, rap and operatic voice, metal, techno and blues, synths and 'handmade' music, melody and rhythm – the listeners encounter all of these. This variety of genres can be accounted for by the musical openness which unites the makers of Strange Stars.

Das Debutalbum Nascent Dream wurde 2012 in vollständiger Eigenregie vom Künstlerduo veröffentlicht. Der auf 100 Stück limitierten, durchnummerierten Erstauflage folgte nach einem Ausverkauf  im selben Jahr die Nachauflage. Beide Auflagen bestehen aus einer Audio-CD mit 18 Tracks und einer Gesamtlaufzeit von 76:03, sowie  einem 44-seitigen DIN-A6-Booklet mit Zeichnungen und Songtexten.

The duo published their debut album Nascent Dream all by themselves in 2012. The first edition, which was limited to 100 copies, each with a serial number, was followed by the second edition in the same year. Both editions consist of a CD, which contains 18 tracks (76:03 of acoustic creativity), and a 44-page booklet with colorful illustrations and lyrics.

trainiert und arbeitet an einer Neuinterpretation der Nascent Dream Show, sowie einer Fortsetzung der Geschichte um Maestro, Ana und die Klangelemente, an der Strange Stars gerade schreiben.

This collaboration has inspired the foundation of a stage team, the Soundance Vodun Crew (2015). Right now, Conny Boob (dancing school Dance Like Crazy) is training the crew, creating a reinterpretation of the Nascent Dream Show, as well as the choreographic part for Strange Stars’  sequel (still in progress)  to the story of Maestro, Ana, and the elements of sound.

Darüber hinaus traten Strange Stars  seit 2013 immer wieder im Rahmen diverser Kunstveranstaltungen auf und steuerten eigene Musik und stundenlange Liveimprovisationen zu konzeptionellen Bodypaintings und Feuershows unter künstlerischen Leitung von Amyna E.
